The Silent Thresholds

There are so many changes we move through without ceremony, not because they don't deserve one, but because we haven't built the cultural scaffolding to hold them.

A miscarriage. A diagnosis. The loss of a job. Menopause. Divorce. An IVF cycle that didn't work. Reaching the age a loved one was when they died. These moments are real. They change us. Yet, we don't always know how to acknowledge them because the world hasn't given these transitions a name, a form, or a ritual container.

This session explores the ceremonies that live in the gaps: the silent thresholds that rarely appear on any calendar, but leave a mark nonetheless. Megan will share ceremony stories and ritual examples drawn from these often-invisible experiences, as well as practical tools for creating meaningful ceremonies when there's no existing template to follow.

If you want to serve people in the full complexity of their lives, this is a session is for you.
